North Island Colgate Games – 5th, 6th, 7th January 2024 in AUCKLAND
South Island Colgate Games – 12th, 13th, 14th January 2024 in DUNEDIN
About ….
Every year the Colgate Games are held in the North Island and the South Island during January.
It is the biggest athletics event for children with each games attended by about 1000 athletes aged 7-14!
Any Athlete Registered Nelson Children’s Athletics Club can enter either Colgate Games. You don’t need to be selected or be a top athlete, though medals are awarded for 10-14 year olds in each event. For 7-9 year olds the focus is on participation.
You compete and enter through your Nelson Children’s Athletics by the Closing Date chosen by our Club.
The games run from Friday morning through to Sunday afternoon – with relays being the last events of each day.
On Friday morning there is an Opening Ceremony and Marchpast.
Children wear their club uniforms and age patches. Athletes can enter up to five events plus relays
